Some Basic Facts:

I like music. A lot. I have a hard time expressing myself emotionally and I rely on the people who make the music I love to do so in ways I cannot. This means a lot to me.
I'm in love with
fishheadned.I used to be relatively involved in the body modification scene via IAM:BME, working as a Front Desk Girl at two different tattoo shops (the late Body Basics in Chicago and Black Wave Tattoo in Los Angeles) and formerly through rec.arts.bodyart. I have mostly been tattooed by Patrick Cornolo of Cherry Bomb in Chicago and have a piece started by Pierre Monteleone. I had big goddamned earlobes when it was still weird and have given up on fully half of my piercings because they got boring or were damaging my health (remember kids, it is NOT WORTH losing your teeth just to be "cool".) Possibly as a result of being yttrx's partner for 4 years, body modification is probably one of the few things I can be snobbish about, but I am working on being more accepting.
My content ranges from completely mindless babbling to flailing attempts to sort out my psyche in a move towards self-improvement. I welcome comments on all types of entries.
My username is not derived from the phrase "Daft like Jack" (see: Pirates of the Carribean). While I'm thrilled that my username became iconic of such a fantastic character, I still had it first. The real story of how I got it is very boring.
I started having a friends list again after a long time of not doing so. I'm being picky. If you're on it, you meet all the following criteria:
1) I have met you in real life, unless you're so super fucking cool that I will feel compelled to hunt you down and meet you
2) I read your journal on a regular basis
3) You don't post so often that the quantity of your posts has the potential to cause me to miss those of less-frequent posters
4) You do not post pictures or those annoying quiz generators often, or are resposible with cut tags
